Après une courte escale à Cascais pour refaire le plein de gazole, Cavok a repris sa route vers le Nord... face à l'alizé portugais. Décidément, pour ce convoyage, c'est pétole ou vent de face ! Un conseil avant d'opter pour un clavier souple : vérifier qu'il tient le coup sous le soleil et la chaleur… celui-ci, dont on taira la marque, finira bientôt à la poubelle ! Cap Saint Vincent franchi ce matin au moteur avant le brise de cet après-midi. A bord, on peufine une recette de pain élaboré avec les farines du moulin de Coudoustrine - Aveyron. Le travail consiste à peaufiner la pose du patin et d'optimiser le temps de cuisson. Cavok est en vue - ou presque - de la côte Sud portugaise après un passage de Gilbraltar avec un bon vent d'Ouest. Les bords de près apparaissent parfaitement sur la carto ! Cavok poursuit sa route vers le Sud de l'Espagne. Nuit calme à deux jours de la pleine lune. Les conditions particulièrement clémentes ont permis à l'équipage de tester le matériel de sécurité et plus particulièrement les combinaisons de survie - visiblement, on n'a pas froid dedans… Cavok is continuing her route towards southern Spain. La courte escale de Cavok à Sant Antoni, au Nord d'Ibiza, a été l'occasion de faire un check du mât et de tester le matériel de plongée : "nous disposons d'une mini bouteille de plongée et son compresseur 12 V. En 3 minutes de gonflage, on obtient t10 à 12 bars. Soit 5 minutes de plongée pour dégager une ancre, un filet, ou encore un bout dans l’hélice. Super léger et réellement autonome à bord" Cavok a repris sa route à 6 heures ce matin. Cavok’s short stopover at Sant Antoni, on Ibiza’s north coast, gave us the opportunity to check the rig and to test our diving gear: “We have a mini dive tank and a 12V compressor. In 3 minutes we can fill it to 10 to 12 bar. This gives us 5 minutes of diving - to clear a fouled anchor, or a net or a rope in the prop. Super lightweight and completely self-sufficient on board.” Cavok set off again at 6 o’clock this morning.
A bord de Cavok, on a bien l'intention de récupérer de l'eau de pluie grâce à cette bâche étudiée sur mesure - le nable d'eau est connecté juste dessous. A éviter évidemment quand les embruns (salés) s'en mêlent ! La vie du bord ? Toujours cap SSO, Majorque bientôt en vue. On Cavok, the plan is to collect rainwater thanks to this made-to-measure tarp - the filler neck is connected just underneath. Obviously not to be used when there’s any spray (salty) coming over! On-board update? Still heading SSW, and Majorca will soon be in sight.

Lagoon fier de Cavok ! Lors de sa dernière convention, le chantier a remis un Award à l’équipage de Cavok. C’est François Picot, en charge du SAV, qui a remis ce prix. François n’est pas n’importe qui : il a bouclé une Mini Transat et une traversée de l’Atlantique en Hobie Cat. Preuve qu’il y a des vrais marins chez Lagoon ! François a d’ailleurs proposé de rester en veille H24 en cas de problème technique lors du tour du monde de Cavok. La formation médicale, c'est indipensable avant de partir ! Cavok a fait appel à l’association Medidistance. Grâce à Vincent Delire, médecin spécialiste de la santé dans les milieux isolés, on apprend à suturer, à perfuser, le tout avec des mises en situation. La dotation médicale est top, et super bien classée par Multicoques Magazine (voir article dans le dernier hors-série). En arrière-plan, la carte de Rangiroa - tout un programme !
